“It is with a very heavy heart that I must tell everyone of the passing of Karl Norman. He passed away on Christmas after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Norine and many many friends who all loved him dearly. His contributions to the world of magic are many, from helping Gene Gordon build his magic shop and manufacturing many of the tricks he sold. To all the years of working behind the bar at the legendary Forks Hotel with Eddie Fechter. He always had time to share a story, joke, or trick with people and usually left them laughing. He lectured throughout most of the continental United States and also in Canada and twice in Europe. For years he has been considered the “Dean of Western New York Magic” and his influence will be felt for many generations to come.Karl would not want people to be sad but to celebrate the times we had together. Although today I feel the world is just a little bit less magical.” – Tony Weiland
