End of Summer & Fall Greetings to all Friends & Members of IBM Ring #49 Hamilton, The Doug Henning Magic Wand Club:
Our first meeting for the new 2014-2015 season will be next Tuesday evening, September 9th @ 7pm at Binkley United Church, 1570 Main St West Hamilton (Opposite Boston Pizza).
Our Treasurer will be ready to accept your annual membership fee of $40 ( $35 for Seniors 65+). Guest Fees will be $10. ($15 for Special Events or Lectures).
Membership fees have not increased in many years. (Your cost per meeting amounts to $4 or less. The cost of a small Starbucks!) What a deal! Especially since we are considering a lecture in November (to be announced on Tuesday night)
On Tuesday evening you will also hear from several of our members that spent time at magic conventions that took place over the summer months: IBM/SAM, Abbotts,Magic Live & more…..
Out Theme for the night “The Force Be With You” will look at the various means of “forcing” or “magician’s choice” with cards, coins & other items. Please come along to share your favourite “Force” trick with the group. If you don’t have a “Force” trick, then bring along a new effect that you may have learned or purchased over the summer to share with our group. Time permitting, we will also have at least one instructional video for viewing.
