Good Evening Members & Friends of IBM Ring #49 Hamilton, The Doug Henning Magic Wand Club:
Due to the timing of our last special meeting & lecture with Henry Evans on April 27th, the Club Executive has decided to cancel our May meeting that would normally be held next Tuesday May 12th. Our final meeting of the season will be held on Tuesday June 9th. This night will be a social event with wives/partners invited (no additional charge). We would also like to have an election of officers for the new season (Sept 2015 to June 2016) on this evening. We would welcome nominations of any of our present members interested in being part of the club executive. Please forward your nomination or notice of intent to run for office (President, VP., Secretary, Treasurer, & Sgt. at Arms) by email to my attention prior to the June 9th meeting.
The Executive will be meeting later this month to finalize the details of our June meeting, deciding on the venue & theme for the evening. Once details are finalized, we will advise you all.
On behalf of our Club I would like to send our note of appreciation to our own Joan Caesar for making all of the arrangements for the Henry Evans Lecture held last month. We had approx. 40 magicians present for this special event and it was good to see members who travelled from the Toronto , Kitchener & London Clubs to enjoy the performance & lecture by World Champion Henry Evans. It was truly a night to remember and I thank all of those that attended this event.
I hope to see you all at our final meeting of the season in June.
