September Meeting: New Season kicks off with Wij Lecture!
Hello Fellow Ring49 Members and fellow magicians:
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer.
I want to give everyone an introduction to our incoming season of events to work in your schedule:
The location of our meeting is held at Ryerson United Church, 265 Wilson Street East in Ancaster. Club Meetings will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm and are held on the second Tuesday of every month. Doors open at 6:30pm. We will be having our teaching table at 7pm. We will be starting off our season on September 12, 2023 with a lecture from Magic Wij ( photo below). Please visit his website for more information. Also, Andrew Woo will be one of lecturers in the fall as well, presenting on November 14, 2023. And did you know, our current club president, Doug the Great, will be attempting to reclaim his Guinness World Record for stilt walking on October 21, 2023 in Brantford. He is currently working with a team of professionals to master this amazing stunt. He will be walking on stilts that will measure close to 55 feet in height (Norfolk & Tillsonburg News).
Membership Fees
The fees for the year will be $45 ($40 for seniors, and members over the age of 65 years old) for the 2023/2024 year. Anyone attending a meeting must either join and pay the annual membership fee or pay the guest fee for the night which is $10. We are hoping everyone will be attending our first event and be bringing their annual membership payment.
